
Because Ali showcased her potential in a young age and was able to make a name for herself in the acting field. Ali first appeared on screen in 1988, when she was in Crocodile Dundee II. Ali created her mark on TV screens as well. Ali was featured in numerous TV series, including A Man Called Hawk, Wally and the Valentines, The Cosby Show, Getting By Do You Afraid of the Dark?, Kidz In the Wood, Living Single, In the House, and many more. Ali's first big project was when she introduced Ashley Banks to life on the cult TV show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in 1990. The show was a collaboration with star Will Smith, the series was a huge hit. It was a huge success which ranked the show 12th on NBC's list of programs that received the most viewers between 1990-1992. It would also win two Golden Globe nominations.
